XE-Filter
operates at the SMTP protocol level and uses the
connecting IP address of the remote mail server that is
attempting to send the message. Using the remote
server's IP
address, XE-Filter searches a locally held database and determines
the messages country of origin.
If the message's
country of origin is found in the
XE-Filter Banned
List of Countries, the mail session is refused. An
SMTP 550 error code
and text is signaled by XE-Filter. The sending mail server
then provides a non-delivery notice to the original email sender
indicating the mail could not be accepted.
Inbound email
messages are accepted and passed through XE-Filter when...

Country
of origin cannot be determined because the IP
address is not in the database
|

The IP
address indicates that the mail server sending the
message is internal to the network (IP address is
non-routable) |
